In warm weather, 9 deck is the place to be with a choice of two inviting swimming pools. The Zone & Play Zone

Younger members of the family will not want to leave The Play Zone filled with toys, games and activities. As the younger children delight in the soft play area you can be certain that they are in the best care with our certified Early Years staff. A range of engaging activities will be thoughtfully prepared by our youth staff including sports, arts and crafts and a disco, as well as themed days such as Pirate Day! The teen area, with its games consoles and relaxed layout provides an ideal setting for older children to meet and make new friends.

Please note that children must be a minimum of one-year-old (two-years old for 2012 itineraries) to participate in the Nursery without parental supervision. Children under one-year-old are welcome, provided they are accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

• Book Club

  The Cunard Book Club offers the opportunity for thought-provoking literary discussions among our guests each voyage. Book Club selections will change quarterly and are reflective of the interests of each ship's guests. Each Book Club meeting will be led by the ship's Librarian or one of the Hostesses, who will provide a short history of the author and lead the discussion.

• Royal Astronomical Society

  The Royal Astronomical Society (RAS), founded in 1820, encourages and promotes the study of astronomy, solar-system science, geophysics and closely related branches of science. Cunard is proud to present the Royal Astronomical Society speakers on board selected voyages, offering you the opportunity to learn about the constellations, meteorites, space travel and to participate in star gazing on deck (weather permitting).

Queen Mary 2's most luxurious suites command their own reserved table in the elegant, single-seating Queens Grill restaurant. When it comes to exclusive luxury touches, our Queens Grill Experience is in a league of its own as Wedgwood china and jewel-like Waterford crystal gleam in the intimate lighting. Our a la carte menu sparkles with exquisite creations, though feel free to make any culinary request you wish. This is, after all, the domain of the truly discerning ocean voyager.

  The Boardwalk Cafe is near the sun deck and provides the opportunity to enjoy a snack in the sunshine and open air. Only a short distance from the shuffleboard area, the cafe provides a refreshing break from your sporting and sunbathing endeavours!

• Sir Samuel's

  In the morning enjoy a delicious breakfast selection of Danish pastries and muffins. Lunchtime selections include a range of freshly baked quiches and sandwiches. The mid-afternoon menu offers cakes such as deep dish cheesecake and Alsace Apple Tart, whilst evening brings an opportunity to enjoy your favourite wine, served with an assortment of cheese.

• Golden Lion

• Kings Court

  Enjoy a casual breakfast, lunch or late-night buffet. Evenings transform into four intimate venues; Lotus: Asian cuisine, the Carvery: British-style carved roasts, La Piazza: Italian cuisine and the Chef's Galley: watch the chef reveal culinary secrets.
