DAY 1: Arrive Athens
Upon arrival in Athens, transfer to your hotel for one night in Athens.

DAY 2: Athens / Kalambaka / Meteroa / Kalambaka
Begin the Classical Coach Tour this morning and depart for the small town of Kalambaka. Upon arrival, you’ll have some time on your own for an optional lunch before continuing on to Meteora to visit 2 of its ancient monasteries. Overnight in Kalambaka. (B, D)

DAY 3: Kalambaka / Delphi / Arachova
Early afternoon arrival in Delphi, where you’ll have free time for an optional lunch. Visit the ruins and museum of Delphi, home of the renowned Oracle. Of all the ancient sites in Greece, Delphi is the most compelling! Continue on to Arachova. Overnight in Arachova or Delphi. (B, D)

DAY 4: Delphi / Olympia / Nafplion (or Patras)
Early morning departure for Olympia where you will visit the museum and the ruins of where the first Olympic Games were held. In the late afternoon, you’ll depart for Nafplion. Overnight in Nafplion or Patras. (B, D)

DAY 5: Nafplion / Epidaurus / Mycenae / Corinth Canal / Athens (Piraeus)
After breakfast, you’ll depart for the World Heritage site of Epidaurus. This 4th century theatre is lauded for its acoustics so acute that even after 23 centuries the drop of a coin on its massive stage can be heard from the back row. Continue on to Mycenae, the legendary Kingdom of Agamemnon, then on to the impressive Corinth Canal. Continue on to Athens where the Classical Coach Tour ends. (B, D)

DAY 6: Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul in the early evening at and have a full 24-hours to explore Istanbul, a fascinating city that bridges Europe and Asia . (B, L, D)

DAY 7: Istanbul
Worth seeing are the Blue Mosque, renowned for its six minarets and its beautiful 21,043 Iznik tiles in shades of blue that give the mosque its nameDepart Istanbul in the early evening. (B, L, D)

DAY 8: Mykonos
Enjoy the bulk of your afternoon and the entire evening at leisure on the incredible island of Mykonos, one of the most picturesque places in Greece, famous for its golden beaches and crystal waters. Be sure to avail yourself of the hip cafés and restaurants, chic boutiques, and famous Mykonian nightlife before reboarding your ship for a midnight departure for Patmos. (B, L, D)

DAY 9: Patmos / Kusadasi (Turkey)
Arrive in Patmos and spend the morning relaxing or sightseeing for a few hours before departing for Kusadasi. Spend the afternoon in and early evening exploring Kusadasi or opt for an excursion ($) to Ephesus. (B, L, D)

DAY 10: Rhodes
Arrive in Rhodes in the early morning, and spend the entire day exploring the Medieval Town of Rhodes or relaxing on the world-famous beaches of Faliraki and Ixia. (B, L, D)

DAY 11: Crete / Santorini
Arrive in Crete, birthplace of Zeus, in the early morning. An optional excursion ($) to Knossos is available. Then head for Santorini’s whitewashed architecture and dazzling scenery. (B, L, D)

DAY 12-14: Athens (Piraeus)
Upon arrival in Athens, disembark you cruiseship and transfer to your hotel for 3 nights in Athens. (B)

DAY 15: Athens / End of tour
In the morning, you will transfer to the Athens airport for your return flight . (B)

The day-by-day itinerary shown here is for Sunday departures only.

For Friday departures the vacation content is identical except that the stay in Athens is divided 2 nights on arrival in Greece and 1 night before departure.

Hotel rooms in Europe are generally smaller than in North American hotels. Please keep in mind that rooms with 2 double beds are quite rare.
All hotels provide towels; some do not offer face cloths.
In most European countries the current is 220V.
