Wedding on the Beach
Choosing a wedding destination is all relative, depending on what you have in mind of course. Most women have been dreaming of their wedding day since childhood, so matching the destination with your dream may prove to be difficult. At redtag.ca our travel specialists are here to help you book the best package for you and your loved ones to witness the event.

Several locations are usually recommended as wedding/honeymoon combination spots because of their flexibility and affordability with weddings. Here are three examples of popular wedding locations compiled by several travel specialists and satisfied clients for this year thus far.

The Mayan Riviera (Mexico):

Many satisfied couples all agree that it is easy to find the perfect wedding package in the Mayan Riviera. Affordable pricing for couples at top hotels and resorts are available all over the area. There is more to this spot than the stunning beaches, clear, turquoise waters and world class diving. Start with the lively port town of Playa del Carmen, or head south to explore the Mayan Ruins. The Mayan Riviera is perfect for weddings especially if you have a large sized group on this journey with you. The Mayan is a convenient gateway to Cancun and Cozumel as well, so your guests will have the option to explore other places nearby.

Punta Cana (Dominican Republic):
Apart from being an idyllic locale stocked with natural beauty, consistent-sunny weather and warm locals wanting nothing but to make your vacation pleasant and fun - this is the perfect place to exchange vows. The travel and accommodation packages at several hotels and resorts offer competitive pricing compared to other Caribbean destinations, so it’s perfect for bringing over large groups too.

Aruba:
This luscious island isn’t necessarily the cheapest spot in the Caribbean; however it is one of its best kept secrets. This gorgeous paradise is enchanting through and through. Aruba’s capital city of Oranjestad has plenty of excellent shops and boutique to browse, as well as some incredible white sandy beaches.  Aruba sits just 30 minutes north of the equator, has several hotels and resorts that cater to weddings, offering beautiful quarters, and this gorgeous tropical setting is sure to make your special day one you will never forget.

A wedding-vacation can be quite simple to plan. Here are some things to consider:

  1. It is always best for couples to arrive in the country you’ll be married in for at least 48 hours prior to the ceremony.
  2. Birth Certificates (and other documents required by administrators) must be sent to the appropriate officials at least 21 days prior to your arrival in that country. In some Spanish speaking countries, it is general practice to have the documents converted into Spanish before sending them.
  3. If a wedding package is listed as “free”, administration fees are usually applicable and vary between resorts and hosting country.
