These first quarter results reflect an increase of 30.6% compared with the same time period in 2007. This year promises to be a record-setting year for Canadians visiting Jamaica. The destination will see more flights and more gateways from different parts of Canada. In addition, new hotels including the Grand Palladium from the Fiesta Hotel Group, RIU Montego Bay and the second phase of Iberostar Rose Hall will be opening. “We are ecstatic about Jamaica’s development in the Canadian market and we hope to entice more Canadians to experience the beauty of Jamaica for themselves,” says Sandra Scott, regional director Canada, Jamaica Tourist Board. “With new and expanded hotels and attractions opening, we will have exciting new things for Canadian travellers to experience all year long.” | ||
