The CONCACAF Gold Cup is coming to the U.S this summer. The Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Football (CONCACAF) holds the tournament every two years with the winner gaining entry into the next global FIFA event (in this case, World Cup 2010). The winner claims bragging rights throughout North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The US are hoping the “home town” advantage will see them claim a third consecutive Cup (previous: 2005, 2007). Other notable teams involved will be Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Jamaica, and Cuba.
