All Inclusive

Our most comprehensive coverage, this product is available for clients up to 74 years of age, and provides the convenience of issuing only one policy to give you the protection of five coverage’s, an unlimited covered amount after departure plus may extras like:

* Up to $500 to buy clothes and toiletries in the case of baggage delay
* Up to $1000 to catch up with the trip if your client's flight schedule changes, causing a misconnection.
* Up to $300 per day for hotel and food if a covered illness makes your client's return home impossible as planned.

You must purchase this plan within 72 hours of purchasing your travel arrangements. Coverage is subject to terms, conditions, exclusions and limitations as outlined in the policy booklet whose terms shall prevail.

Non-Medical Inclusive

This plan has no age limit. Trip length is limited to 183 days and offers the convenience of issuing four coverages under only one policy to your client who has medical coverage through another plan. Plus, there is an unlimited covered amount after departure and many extras like:

Medical Travel Insurance

This plan provides emergency medical coverage of up to $5,000,000 while in destination including emergency physician and hospital and prescription expenses, diagnostics and ambulatory costs. It is designed for travelers under the age of 74 for trips less than 17 days. This plan provides access to World Travel Protection's 24 hours a day, 365 days a year emergency medical assistance centre.

1. Does my Government Health Insurance Plan cover me when I travel abroad, what about when I travel within Canada but out of province?
  • When travelling outside of Canada, Government Health Insurance Plans (GHIP) covers only a small portion of your medical costs in destination. Any major emergency accident or illness could very easily leave you financially ruined. The Canadian government strongly advises Canadians to purchase supplemental medical and trip cancellation insurance before leaving Canada. www.voyage.gc.ca
  • For travel within Canada, many Canadians are surprised to learn that incidental costs associated with emergency medical treatment are not covered by GHIP. Some examples of this are ambulatory expenses, air evacuation, private and semi private rooms, and hotels, escort of children, visit to bedside and return of vehicle costs. Inter-provincial coverage varies from province to province for travel; within Canada. Manulife Global Travel Insurance provides benefits for the entire aforementioned incidental costs associated with medical emergencies. When travelling within Canada prudent Canadian travellers make sure they are covered with supplemental medical, trip interruption, delay and cancellation insurance.
2. Does insurance provide for up front payments in the case of medical emergencies?
Manulife Global Travel Insurance often times provides up front payments in the case of emergency medical treatment. You must contact World Travel Protect immediately in the case of medical emergencies in destination. 3. Does insurance provide for up front payments in the case of medical emergencies?

Providing you are eligible for insurance there are requirements that any pre-existing condition or related medical condition be stable and controlled for a specified period of time depending on the coverage you are seeking, your age and plan of purchase. 5. My credit Card Covers me, or does it?
  • Many Canadians believe that their credit card covers them for Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Travel Delay and Medical Emergencies. Traveller beware, credit card coverage varies dramatically from provider to provider. There may not be any assistance provided in the case of medical emergencies. Few cards provide up front payments in the case of medical emergencies and even fewer provide medical case management.
  • There may be no interruption coverage and only a limited amount of cancellation coverage. You may not be covered medically at all depending on your age. Age can also limit trip cancellation coverage. Your credit card must be in good standing and you must have paid for your trip with your card. Credit card coverage may offer a small amount of trip cancellation coverage relative to the actual value of your trip. Make sure you exercise due diligence and check up on your coverage with your credit card provider. 6. I am travelling no matter what happens, why would I need Trip Cancellation Insurance?
  • Sadly, many consumers do not understand the benefits of trip cancellation, interruption and travel delay insurance. Many do not cancel or abandon their trips due to their own misfortunes. Consider;
  • The unexpected illness or injury of a family member, caregiver or key employee.
  • A new Canadian Government Advisory against travel to an area or region you are scheduled to travelling to.
  • Delay due to weather, mechanical failure or grounding of your connecting flight causing you to miss your cruise.
  • Default or bankruptcy of a supplier.
  • Loss of your permanent job without just cause
  • Damage to your principal place of residence rendering it to be uninhabitable.
  • A schedule change causes you to miss a connection
  • Weather causes you to miss 305% or more of your trip and you decide not to travel.
7. Why should I purchase All-Inclusive insurance?

The All-Inclusive Plan includes Emergency Medical Coverage, Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Travel Delay Coverage, Baggage and Personal Effects as well as Travel Accident coverage all under the same plan. When purchased separately these plans would typically be much more expensive than when packaged.
8. Please explain what your family rates are all about.
  • Family rates are 3 times the premium of the highest paying adult for All-Inclusive, Travel Canada and Non Medical Inclusive Plans. The Family rate is 2 times the premium of the highest paying adult for the Global Medical, Annual Medical and Visitors Plans.
  • One or two parents under 55 years of age with an unlimited number of children under 21, or under 26 if full time student or any age if mentally or physically handicapped qualify for family rates. Children must be a minimum of 31 days old.
