Can I use Miles or my credit card to book a vacation package or cruise through redtag.ca?

For every 909 Dream Miles used, you’ll get $100 towards your vacation package or cruise booking. You can use your credit card to pay the balance.

Will I be able to use my Miles towards the taxes for a vacation package or cruise?

Miles can only be used towards the base price of the trip. Taxes, surcharges, fees, add-ons and port charges must be paid by credit card only.

Can I use any amount of Dream Miles for my booking?

Dream Miles must be redeemed in increments of 909 Dream Miles, which converts to a cash value of $100 at a time.

Can I book a cruise using a deposit upfront?

No, at this time deposit payments are not accepted when using Miles for cruise bookings. To be eligible to use Miles on your booking, all cruise reservations through vacations.airmiles.ca require full payment at time of booking.

How and when do I apply my Dream Miles?

Dream Miles in increments of 909 Miles must be applied at time of booking. You cannot use Miles to pay for any outstanding balances later on.

Can I use Dream Miles to pay for my deposit?

No, you can’t use Miles to pay for your deposit or for your administration fee. You can, however, pay for your deposit using your credit card and apply Dream Miles in increments of 909 Miles at the time of booking as part of your deposit. Please note that you can’t use Miles to pay for any outstanding balance at time of final payment later on.

Can I use Miles for excursions, onboard activities, gratuities etc.?

No, you cannot.

Can I use Cash Miles towards a booking?

No. Cash Miles are not eligible for redemption towards your booking.

Does it cost anything to use my Dream Miles?

When using your Dream Miles towards your booking, there is a non-refundable processing fee of $30 CDN (plus HST).

What happens when redtag.ca has a promotion? Will I be eligible to also get and/or use Miles?

AIR MILES Reward Miles may be combinable with select redtag.ca offers; please refer to the full Terms and Conditions of the specific promotion to verify if applicable to AIR MILES Collectors.

Where can I get or use AIR MILES Dream Miles?

Do I get Miles when paying a deposit on my reservation?

You will get Miles for qualifying deposit bookings made via redtag.ca or vacations.airmiles.ca. These Miles will not be deposited into your Collector Account(s) until after the entire fare amount is paid in full.

Who should I contact if I want to make a change, modify or cancel my booking?

Contact a redtag.ca specialist at 1-866-973-3824 who will assist you with changes on your booking if changes are permitted by the supplier. Please note change fees may apply.

What happens if more than one person on my reservation is an AIR MILES Collector?

Only one Collector Number can get Miles per booking.

How long will it take for the Miles I get to appear in my Account(s)?

It can take up to 120 days from the date of final payment for Miles to be posted to your Collector Account(s).

What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?

Cancelled reservations will result in a recalculation of Miles issued, depending on the supplier’s terms and conditions. It is always recommended that you purchase insurance to protect your vacation investment.

Are there minimum age requirements for cruise bookings?

The minimum age to sail alone in a cabin is 21. Families travelling together and booking multiple staterooms should take extra care to book at least one adult over the age of 25 in each cabin to ensure reservations are successful.

How will I know how many Miles I have and/or have used?

Both Miles you get and Miles you use (if applicable) will appear in your Collector Account(s) under “Transaction History”.

Will I be able to use my Transat Travel Certificate or Cash eVoucher through redtag.ca?

redtag.ca will not accept any Transat Travel Certificate or Cash eVouchers

Is airfare included in my cruise booking?

No, airfare is not included in your cruise booking. It must be purchased separately.

How do I book my airfare to connect to my cruise booking?

There are lots of ways to book your airfare with us!

  • If you have enough Dream Miles, you can use them through airmiles.ca.
  • You can use your credit card to book flights through redtag.ca.
How far in advance should I book my flight?

It is our recommendation that you research your flight at the time of booking your cruise in order to ensure availability for both. We also recommend double-checking embarkation and debarkation time requirements prior to booking your flights to ensure there you provide yourself enough time to get between the airport and ship.

Tell me more about Manulife Travel Insurance.

In the event that you need to cancel your trip due to a risk covered in the insurance policy, your Miles will be reinstated in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the policy.

To protect your AIR MILES Reward Miles, Manulife Insurance has provided three (3) policy options:

  • All Inclusive
  • Non-Medical Inclusive, or
  • Trip Cancellation and Interruption.

Please note: If you purchased your vacation package and used Dream Miles on airmiles.redtag.ca and decide to purchase Manulife Travel Insurance at a later date, you must return to airmiles.redtag.ca to complete this transaction.

Can I use any amount of Dream Miles towards my theme park ticket booking?

Collectors must have sufficient Miles in their Dream Account to cover the full purchase price of a theme park ticket.

Do I get Miles when I book a U.S. theme park ticket?

Unfortunately, you won’t get Miles when you book theme park-only tickets.

Does it cost anything to use my Dream Miles for a U.S. theme park-only ticket?

There is no booking fee when you use Dream Miles towards a theme park ticket booking.

Which U.S. theme parks can I book using Miles?

You can use Dream Miles towards an adult or child ticket for Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World in Florida, Universal Studios Hollywood or Universal Orlando.

How far in advance must I book my U.S. theme park tickets?

You must book a minimum of 3 business days in advance of your intended first day of use for Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World in Florida, Universal Studios Hollywood or Universal Orlando.

How do I get and use my tickets for Disneyland in California?

Upon completion of your booking, you’ll receive an instant email confirmation. Within 24 hours, a voucher will be sent to the email provided at the time of booking. This voucher will contain a barcode that can be used to enter the park. You can also enter the barcode details into the Disneyland app in advance of your park visit.

How do I get my tickets for Walt Disney World in Florida?

Upon completion of your booking you’ll receive an instant email confirmation. Within 24 hours, a voucher with a Disney confirmation number, and details and instructions on how to pick up your ticket(s) will be sent to the email provided at the time of booking. You MUST print your voucher prior to departure and bring it to the Will Call window at the park.

Can I use my confirmation number to do any pre-planning before I visit Walt Disney World in Florida?

Yes, you can use the confirmation number on the voucher to create an account and start your visit using the “My Disney Experience” tools.

How do I get and use my tickets for Universal Studios Hollywood in California?

Upon completion of your booking, you’ll receive an instant email confirmation. Within 24 hours, a voucher will be sent to the email provided at the time of booking. This voucher will contain a barcode that can be used to enter the park.

How do I get and use my tickets for Universal Orlando in Florida?

Upon completion of your booking, you’ll receive an instant email confirmation. Within 24 hours, a voucher will be sent to the email provided at the time of booking. This voucher will contain a barcode that can be used to enter the park.

What are the age limits for child tickets?

Child tickets are for those between the ages of 3 and 9 years old, while adults are 10+ years at Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World in Florida, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando. Child tickets cannot be booked on their own; they must be booked together with an adult ticket.
