Vacation Package Deals

  • Royal Decameron Club Caribbean is located in Runaway Bay Jamaica, about one hour’s drive from Montego Bay, in one of Jamaica’s most beautiful beach zones. This resort property is spread out over a beautiful stretch of coastline with lush gardens and two swimming pools, one exclusively for adults, and the other for the whole family. A large wooden jetty with bar offers an excellent place to sunbathe when not on the beach. Most rooms at Club Caribbean are located in individual, private cottages spread throughout the property, many with ocean views and direct access to the beach from your front door. Once on the beach, guests can enjoy free non-moterized watersports and a variety of activities set up daily by our activities staff. Club Caribbean’s three restaurants (two a la carte and one buffet) ensure an exquisite dining experience throughout your stay.

I visited this hotel years ago and was pleasantly surprised by the service and staff of this 3 stars hotel. They were far more impressive than their competing 4 & 5 stars hotel. On my last visit, the hotel closely resembled a old age home with apathetic caregivers. Staff were clearly disinterested in their jobs and need training and guidance.

We loved the relaxed atmosphere of this resort, it isn't wall to wall luxury but it is Jamaica & I really felt staying here gave a more realistic experience. We paid extra for a beach front cabin which I fell in love. It is worth it! The food was OK & inclined to be repetitive, but we didn't go hungry. My daughter struggled a bit as she is vegetarian, but again, she managed as there is an extensive salad bar. The drink selection was very good, all brand names along with a huge cocktail menu. We particularly liked the Swing Bar - very atmospheric as you look out to sea. The evening entertainment was fun, everyone is so friendly it's easy to make friends if you wish or simply sit back & enjoy the shows. The entertainment crew & professional dance troop work very hard all day to keep everyone entertained. Having said that, there are plenty of quiet areas to escape to & most importantly, 'no shortage of sunbeds', of course there are always people who feel the need to reserve a bed at silly times in the morning, but this is totally unnecessary as the ratio of beds to guests is covered. One small word of warning; if you have teenage daughters I would advise keeping a discreet eye - some of the 'red blooded' young entertainment fellows will try to push the boundaries. Not too much of an issue, but at times we felt the need to be vigilant. Otherwise, a fantastic place, beautiful gardens & a relaxing holiday.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks here at the beginning of June, we were a little comprehensive prior to the holiday after reading some of the reviews and it being a 3 Star, also This was only our 3rd holiday on our own in 20years without our children so I after reading about the Poor WiFi I was also worried about contacting my children on a daily basis to check in. Weather forecasts didn’t look good either with thunderstorms forecasted nearly everyday. However we had absolutely nothing at all to worry about everything worked out well and turned out to be a dream holiday and the relaxation that we both needed. The hotel rooms - clean, spacious, very good working air conditioning, and detached huts which is apparently the only hotel in jamaica with the hut style. We were located a stone throw away from one of their beaches and a minutes walk to the main restaurant and entertainment area. Beaches - Clean and maintained although a lot of seaweed. The Sea was so warm I have never felt a sea like it. A bar area located at each beach area. A few free water sports. There was also areas where you could relax and sunbathe without using the beach. Pools - Both warm and clean. There is a quiet pool and a pool in the area with the main daytime entertainment. Staff - Amazing especially the bar and entertainment staff. They were always so happy and fun and seemed happy to be there and serve you. Restaurants - We could not fault the food at all. The main buffet on an evening was great. They changed the country theme of food every night and there was something for everyone. The day time grill bar food was really lovely also, limited choice but enough. The a la Carte restaurants we tried on one evening but didn’t find it much different to the main buffet so just stuck to that. Entertainment - The main hotel entertainers were brilliant and some of the evening entertainment, however it could repeat itself especially if you are there for 2 weeks and there Decameron dancers were dull, we thought the all day entertainment staff entertained us more with their dancing. Weather - Absolutely perfect! Red hot, could be overcast but still hot. There was a breeze but you needed it or it would have been unbearable. WiFi- Don’t know what all the bad reviews were about. Yes you have to pay for it but if It was 5 dollars for 1 hour which you could use over 6 days or 20 dollars for 24 hours which you could spread over 13 days, and it was only strong near reception areas. However this was fine for us as I was on holiday away from everything at home for just time for my husband and I and using the WiFi service as it was, was enough for me to speak with my children everyday for as long as they wanted. Excursions- Expensive from tour operator we ventured out on our own. We were fine and found people welcoming. We hired a private taxi driver who took us where ever we wanted to go for the full day and the attractions were cheaper like this and it was to our own pace. Overall we could not fault this hotel, there was a few little bits but there is wherever you go probably and nothing that’s didn’t add to our experience or made our time horrible. The tour operator on the other hand was a different experience. Overall an amazing holiday I have thought about everyday since I got home and wish I was back to here, but are planning to take our children next time now we know it a bit more and we think they will love it as much as us. Thank you Royal Decameron hotel and staff for an amazing holiday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This hotel had great rooms in huts right in front of the beach. Really romantic and not overcrowded like big 5 star hotels. Staff very friendly! I would definitely go back again. I liked it was quite private compared to big 5 star hotels. The garden view were the huts right in front of the beach and was spacious. I went just before Easter and it was busy. But the Friday and Saturday of Easter were so packed it was even hard to find a seat in the dining area!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great time had by all! Stayed in April 2011. The staff were excellent, just felt like family. The cottage we stayed in was clean and well maintained. Had small problem with lock which was fixed within an hour of calling. The secret to any holiday is to treat people the way you want to be treated. will and have recommended this resort to friends and family. Diffinately going back.
