Looking on the map it does look quite a way from the center of Paris (14th Arr.) and if we go again we may look at being more central but to be honest it was probably only about 20 mins to get there ... and 8-10 mins of that is walking to nearest tube station (Plaisance). We had a family apartment on the top floor. It was maybe a bit on the small side (looked larger in photos) but it was all we really needed. Well equipped kitchen with mini dishwasher and they kindly supply d/w tablets, tea towels and a bottle of detergent. There´s also an iron/ironing board and a safe in the room which is free to use. The room was very warm as the big boiler and radiator are constantly on in the bathroom. There is A/C in the room which we ended up using. We had a sofa and pull out bed for our two girls and we had a double room (a 135 cm bed) and both lounge and bedroom had a TV. They had BBC1 & BBC2. We didn´t use the breakfast facility because €40 for breakfast seemed a bit steep.. Instead there were 2 amazing "boulangeries" just opposite the hotel with the most amazing croissants, pan au chocolat, baguettes etc which cost us about €7-€8 for the four of us! There is a supermarket directly under the hotel but it is expensive. Stocks pretty much everything but a lot of items were extremely expensive. On our last day, we asked Reception to book us a taxi for 08.20 am. Little did we know that in doing so, the taxi driver adds on a €7 surcharge for pre-bookings. He said it was because there aren´t many taxis driving around in that area that is why you need to book ... but if you want to chance it and try and flag one down or get one that has just dropped off at the hotel (which were many) then you save yourself a few euros! The staff were very friendly and polite and looking at general hotel prices in Paris, I think you got what you paid for. Overall a lovely stay in Paris!!

Stayed overnight in a one bed apartment with my two daughters and my grandson. The apartment was in the 14th district and close to transport links. Nice quiet area. Check-in was efficient. Several take aways in the immediate area and a bakery just across the road for breakfast. Good value for four of us. Recommended.

Citadines Didot is a real find. It is within walking distance of the tram and also two different metro stations. The studios have a great kitchenette and there is a grocery store right next door. Most of all, the reception, especially Sylvain, are highly professional and helpful.
