  • California covers a considerable portion of the U.S Pacific Coast. Oregon sits above it and Washington takes the North West corner. Nevada and Arizona share borders with California to the east and Mexico of course shares the southern border. Since California is so expansive, the landscape, climates, sights, cultures, etc. can vary drastically throughout the whole state. To break it down simply; the northern and central parts of California offer plenty for outdoor adventure lovers. With high mountains to climb, lush forests to explore, pristine lakes and challenging rivers - perfect for rafting, boating and fishing. There are some great National parks in California including Yosemite and Redwood National Park. You can even get some great skiing in California in spots such as Lake Tahoe and further south in the San Jacinto Mountains. In any other state, a large expanse of desert wouldn’t amount to much of an attraction, however in California the dessert is a place for pampered retreats, world class spas & resorts and chic cities like Palm Springs.

The iconic Golden Gate Bridge is arguably San Francisco’s most recognizable structure and it’s fitting that such an innovation represents one of the world’s most interesting cities. Also in the Bay Area you’ll find Napa Valley, where wine lovers can explore lush vineyards and revel in the beautiful countryside. Check out our San Francisco Tour guide which includes hotspots in the Bay Area, shopping around San Francisco, museums and galleries in San Francisco, flights to San Fran, San Francisco hotel deals, car rentals and more.

Of course no vacation to California would be complete without seeing the sights in Los Angeles. L.A is famous for its main industries including film & television production, music production and its chic, trendsetting ways in the worlds of entertainment, dining, clothing and more. Check out our Los Angeles Tour Guide which includes hotspots in Hollywood, shopping in Beverly Hills, museums and galleries in Los Angeles, flights to L.A, Los Angeles hotel deals, car rentals and much more.
