This hotels attitude to people with a disability is disgraceful. I have tried to book a package holiday from the UK with TUI. I am a paralysed wheelchair user and require an adapted room. TUI sent a request to reserve an adapted room early in May. I received a telephone call today saying the hotel will try but cannot guarantee an adapted room on arrival. Of what use is that to me when my disability requires an accessible room with an accessible bathroom. Why can't one of the adapted rooms be reserved? Five of us were due to travel booking two rooms. My grandchildren are now heartbroken their holiday hs had to be cancelled. We are certainly not equal in this world.

I can’t speak for other months but do not visit this resort in June unless you love crowds and waiting in line. The entire week we were here the resort was overly Way too busy and over crowded. It was impossible to find a table for breakfast most days and you could forget about getting a chair at the pool if you wanted to go after lunch. We chose to vacation this time of year because of the past experiences we have had with near-empty resorts in Cuba in June/July. This is not the case for Mexico!! Also, if you are an English speaker please beware! The majority (95%) of the guests at this resort were Spanish-speaking families so the resort catered to them. This is very resonable as they are the majority of their clientele but for us English speakers it was hard to follow along. Often they would make announcements at the pool in Spanish and wouldn’t even bother translating it to English so we didn’t know what we were missing. It was definitely assumed that you spoke Spanish. If you are considering this resort in the summer just know that you will have to arrive at each meal as soon as the doors open in order to actually get a table, get any reasonable food, and avoid a huge line. That being said, the food was quite good and the overall resort was very clean. Whoever said this wasn’t a party resort clearly didn’t go in June or can sleep through a lot of noise. there was constant music/noise until the disco ended at 2am and then general guest noise in their rooms until as late as 4am some nights. And if you’re a light sleeper, beware of the doors. The doors to the room are very heavy and made very loud noise when shut. It was loud enough to wake me out of a sleep a couple of times. Overall, the food was good (the a la cartes were pretty good however we did see a lot of the food from the a la cartes appear in the buffet throughout the week). The rooms were promptly cleaned and the resort was always being cleaned and maintained by the staff. If you don’t mind crowds (did I mention all of the kids that were constantly in the adult pool instead of their own designated kid pool?) then you may be able to handle this resort however we were definitely disappointed.

We had a great time1

I was very apprehensive about going on a Mexican vacation, it wasn't long after we arrived that I left my guard down a bit. We all had a great time! People who worked there were all very nice! The food wasn't the greatest but good enough. The price was good. We enjoyed ourselves:)

This resort was at capacity the entire time we where here. The dining halls, bars and lobby where full every day. There is no adult night life. But seems like a good place to bring your kids if you dont mind the crowds.

Stayed here in Febuary 2018. The beach was great, apart from the poor horses constantly trotting back & forth in the heat. The staff were wonderful, friendly & accomodating. The food was good & the skies were sunny. What more can you as for!!

Riu Jalisco is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 92.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This will be our 6th stay at Rui Jalisco. We love going there, everyone is friendly,it's clean , and as far as food goes, it's excellent. We don't like that the specialty restaurants are buffet, so we just choose not to go rather then complain about them. Do u cook10 different meats, 10 salads n10 different vegetables, let alone 20 different desserts every night? The mistake that some people do is taste everything in the first 2-3 days. Pick one meat ,n the next day pick a different one etc etc. my biggest pet peeve there is that there are too many kids in the adult pool, n my reason is because there are adult activities going on there r shouldn't be in front of children. I've meet many many people who have been there numerous times. Then again ,I'm not a fussy person n I always make the best of every holiday as it can easily get ruined if you let those little things bother you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good hotel The hotel was good. The food and drinks were great so if the price is right, I would recommend this hotel and there aren't a lot of mosquitoes. Entertainment was fun! However, the room was okay with only one sink and small shower and washroom. If you are looking for a peaceful stay as a couple, I would not recommend it as it's more family oriented with lots of children running around and screaming. Those are the only reasons I would not rate it as excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, except for weddings Prebooked this trip. My boyfriend had stayed at Riu Jalisco previously and was pleased with it. The location is great, rooms are exceptionally clean. A lot of noise to be heard if staying at the court yard part of resort. Family rooms, such as we stayed in alot more quiet. Great food and friendly staff, especially main dining room and bar tenders. Only downside we had for 2 days in a row was that the beach, not a huge one, was sectioned off for a wedding each day. The resort was full, meaning beach would be full but all beach people were limited those 2 days for weddings of 15 to 20 people tops. And this was for most of the day for a 20 minute wedding.
