Before we booked this hotel we looked at the reviews. This is why we chose this hotel. We have some good and some bad for this resort, however we would probably stay here again. Pros: Amazing location. Considering I have a back issue I felt that we were right in the middle and was able to do both south and north strip. Great food choices. I say this because they have a food court, outside restaurants in the bizarre and you could easily walk anywhere to find food. Updated fully renovated rooms - done well. Casino- we really liked. To us it was a decent size and not too smoky. The waitresses on shift were always around and you could easily get a drink. We had no problems with the elevator. We never had to wait. Cons: I’m surprised no one else has mentioned this, but the air conditioning did not seem to work that well. Yes we understand it’s an older hotel however it was noticeable from resort to resort. Especially our room. It was so hot we had to keep lights off, blinds shut and slept without covers. AC read 65 but it def wasn’t, and they said it was because it was water based so it wasn’t working that well in this heat. Resort fee- 40 dollars. Got us WiFi and that’s it. Couldn’t even print our boarding passes without a 5.00 per person charge. The resort fees are getting out of control. We have stayed at a lot of hotels here and that was the highest for nothing. TIMESHARE people and skin care these people are savages. They are all over the strip and in Bally’s. They hassle you like crazy. Never let someone take your bags or ask if you want show tickets. They are timeshare most of the time. Front end staff was mediocre at best. Pool was good & bad. A bit dated however we still enjoyed ourselves. Liked that the pool was shallow to deep and had many places to sit in the pool. We were able to get drinks, and find a lounger, however the loungers were so old and dirty that they were breaking. (See picture) All in all, location is key, and upgrades were done well. I’d def stay here again but if I was to go again in this heat I wouldn’t stay there only because of their AC not working properly.

More pluses than minuses

PLUSES - First and foremost, I love this hotel for its pool. It is one of the traditional pools where there is still a deep-end. I position myself here; I can jump in and swim a lap whenever I get hot. I love the center-Strip location of this hotel. The rooms have been upgraded, so they are much nicer and a big bonus: an in-room refrigerator. BLT Steakhouse is a big plus in my books as is the indoor walkway to the Paris. Along the way, the restaurant, Martorano's, is another plus. BIG MINUS - The biggest minus is the resort fee - $39.68. Seriously? It is more than I paid for the room using my player's card every night. The resort fees are supposed to give you access to the amenities of wifi and the spa, etc. What if you don't use any of those? which I don't. You are screwed. I remember in 2012 and before Caesar's (then Harrah's) properties literally advertised that they did NOT charge resort fees. LITTLE MINUSES - The rooms should have lighted make-up mirrors. The counter is wide and the bathroom isn't well-lit, so it is hard to lean-in and put on make-up in either the big mirror or the small, unlit make-up mirror attached to the wall. About the same time the property began charging resort fees, it seemed as if the payouts at slots and video poker became skimpier/less frequent.

I stayed here from July11-14. I chose Bally's because i am a Total Rewards member and get decent discounts at all the Caesars properties. I chose Bally's this time for convenience to the strip, cost, and because I hadn't stayed there in more than two decades. I was pleased with a variety of things. First, the self-check-in kiosk was awesome. Walked in prior to normal check-in time, put my info in and the kiosk provided me my room number and key. Very convenient! I had booked one of their recently remodeled rooms and found it to be more than adequate and updated. I was happily pleased with the whole deal on a short stay. I frequent Vegas a lot and have stayed in most of the hotels on the strip. Obviously places like the Aria, Vdara, and Cosmpolitan are nicer by far, but for the price, location and convenience, Bally's exceeded my expectations.
