There is plenty of choice for the more energetic from fitness classes and sports courts, to swimming and traditional deck sports. Join a dance class and learn the lindy hop or for the first time enjoy a game of croquet on the games deck.

Children's Activities

Children can have a whale of a time in Queen Elizabeth's Children's Programme on deck 10, run by certified Early Years staff.

Younger members of the family will not want to leave The Play Zone filled with toys, games and activities. As the younger children delight in the soft play area and ball pool you can be certain that they are in the best of care with our certified Early Years staff. A range of engaging activities will be thoughtfully prepared by our youth staff including sports, arts and crafts and a disco, as well as themed days such as Pirate Day! The teen area, with its computers and relaxed layout provides an ideal setting for older children to meet and make new friends. Adjoining the Play Zone is the outside pool area where the whole family can enjoy themselves.

Please note that children must be a minimum of one-year-old (two-years old for 2012 itineraries) to participate in the Nursery without parental supervision. Children under one-year-old are welcome, provided they are accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

Evening Entertainment

It may be night time that most sets the Queen Mary 2 experience apart from other ships. For where else will you attend such dazzling affairs as a Black and White Ball, Royal Ascot Ball or Buccaneer Ball - all in a setting as stunning as the Queens Room? Or catch a staged musical production in the Royal Court Theatre. You may want to save time for the Empire Casino, or put on your dancing shoes at G32 nightclub.

  Evenings boast another of Cunard's finest traditions as guests take to the floor to enjoy elegant ballroom dancing. Or discover more intimate venues like the Yacht Club and dance until the small hours with the resident DJ.

Cunard Queen Elizabeth Ballroom

Cantilevered balconies, ornate frescos and backlit glass panels rise to the height of two decks in the magnificent Queens Room. Experience views from many Royal Palaces through the exquisite artwork that adorns the walls.

Here is the setting for two timeless Cunard traditions: indulgent afternoon tea served by white gloved waiters offering a choice of teas from around the world, and cucumber sandwiches followed by scones served with lashings of jam and clotted cream.

Evenings boast another of Cunard's finest traditions as guests take to the floor to enjoy elegant ballroom dancing with a mix of beats to accompany the glittering ball gowns and tuxedoed guests as they whirl and spin to the resident orchestra. Captains cocktail parties, themed balls, the social scene is endless in this most impressive of ballrooms.

• Cunard Insights

  With Cunard's Insights, you can explore a number of historical and contemporary issues presented by a wide range of speakers including explorers, academics, former ambassadors and politicians, historians and scientists, award wining novelists, biographers and acclaimed actors and film makers.

• Book Club

  The Cunard Book Club offers the opportunity for thought-provoking literary discussions among our guests each voyage. Book Club selections will change quarterly and are reflective of the interests of each ship's guests. Each Book Club meeting will be led by the ship's Librarian or one of the Hostesses, who will provide a short history of the author and lead the discussion.

Up on Deck 11, the intimate single seating Princess Grill Restaurant captivates guests staying in Princess Grill Suites with flawlessly attentive service and the acclaimed pinnacle of our a la carte excellence. The Britannia Experience




Guests sailing in the comfort of our luxurious Britannia staterooms can make their dramatic evening entrance into this elegant two-tier dining room with a graceful descent of its grand staircase, gleaming beneath the eye-catching art deco chandelier.
